Apart is the amazing debut album by Cornea, a trio of musicians from Padova (Italy) who, among hypnotic, dreamlike, decadent, and psychedelic atmospheres, give rise to a particular introspective and completely instrumental work that would be a crime to let slip.
The fascinating cover created entirely by guitarist Nicola Mel little suggests about the content of the album which, moving from Post Rock to Doom, from Post Metal to Shoegaze turns out, track after track, to be a continuous exciting discovery, starting with the dreamy DAYDREAMER that anticipates in its final part KINGDOM, the most Doom episode of the whole lot, where highly inspired distorted guitars alternate with more melodic moments in an amazing result.
WILL YOUR HEART GROW FONDER? is the most stylistically complex track but one that is easier to absorb due to its capacity for involvement. A valuable work of the rhythm section formed by Andrea Greggio on drums and Sebastiano Pozzobon on bass who, in the second part of the track, moves the sound on heavier shores always guided by a very inspired guitar. More mellow and melodic is SALTWATER in its initial phase as deeply Heavy and dark in its final phase while decadent and Rock is the subsequent SENTINELS OF A NORTHERN SKY. Apart ends with DIVER, an exciting and reflective track characterized by a breathtaking guitar solo and melodies that are still appropriate and deep.
Cornea make a debut as a great band, a work that starting from its graphic layout and ending with its last note will not disappoint you even for a moment. Revelation!

Apart è lo splendido album di debutto dei Cornea, trio di musicisti provenienti da Padova che, tra atmosfere ipnotiche, oniriche, decadenti e psichedeliche da origine ad un lavoro particolare, introspettivo e del tutto strumentale che sarebbe un delitto lasciarsi sfuggire.
L’affascinante copertina interamente creata dal chitarrista Nicola Mel poco lascia presagire del contenuto dell’album che passando dal Post Rock al Doom, dal Post Metal allo Shoegaze traccia dopo traccia risulta essere una continua emozionante scoperta, a cominciare dalla sognante DAYDREAMER che anticipa nelle sua parte finale KINGDOM, l’episodio più Doom dell’intero lotto, dove ispiratissime chitarre distorte si alternano a momenti più melodici in un risultato stupefacente.
WILL YOUR HEART GROW FONDER? è la traccia più stilisticamente complessa ma di più facile assimilazione tanta è la sua capacità di coinvolgimento. Pregevole il lavoro della sezione ritmica formata da Andrea Greggio alla batteria e Sebastiano Pozzobon al basso che nella seconda parte del pezzo sposta il sound su lidi più Heavy sempre guidato da una chitarra ancora ispiratissima. Più suadente e melodica è SALTWATER nella sua fase iniziale come profondamente Heavy e oscura nella sua fase finale mentre decadente e Rock è la successiva SENTINELS OF A NORTHERN SKY. Apart si chiude con DIVER, traccia emozionante e riflessiva caratterizzata da un assolo di chitarra mozzafiato e da melodie ancora azzeccate e profonde.
I Cornea mettono a segno un debutto da grande band, un lavoro che partendo dalla sua veste grafica e terminando con la sua ultima nota non vi deluderà nemmeno per un istante. Rivelazione!
