Eclipsis Vitae is the debut full-length of the Calabrian (southern Italy) Cruel Life Inside, a band dedicated to an Atmospheric/Post Black Metal surely inspired and impactful. The combo composed by Francesco Brisinda on guitar, Angelo Pellicano on vocals and Giando Sestito on bass brings to conclusion an excellent work started in 2019 with the first single "Loricum" and whose main theme lies on a journey into the dark sensations that we normally experience at least once in a lifetime with the background of the mystical landscapes of the Sila (mountain chain in the north of the Calabrian territory).
The atmospheric component turns out to be prevalent since instrumental opener DOLOR, which has the aim of introducing the splendid IGNIS, a track in which more melodic moments alternate with other symphonic black metal parts in a very suggestive amalgam. Still unsettling and at the same time reflective atmospheres in FLETUS where an enthusiastic mid-tempo sustains Angelo's clean vocals followed by flashes of black lyrics that amaze for intensity. Worth to mention the splendid melody in the central part of the piece.
The next instrumental INFIRMUS attracts for its keyboards capable of throwing the listener into the Sila’s mystical atmospheres as well as in the initial part of VERNUM, a piece that rests on intense clean vocals but where the melody is still remarkably interesting. LORICUM contains all the peculiar features of the band in a single track: Black Metal, atmosphere, the singing first angelic and then infernal ... Thrilling! CURA is the suggestive and instrumental outro coinciding with a melodic line full of hope, created by a band that seems to clearly know its path ahead.
Eclipsis Vitae is an album to be taken into consideration within the extreme Italian underground scene, a record that reveals the great potential of Cruel Life Inside and that deserves to be listened to carefully.

Eclipsis Vitae è il primo full-length dei calabresi Cruel Life Inside, band dedita ad un Atmospheric/Post Black Metal sicuramente ispirato e di impatto. Il combo composto da Francesco Brisinda alla chitarra, Angelo Pellicano alla voce e Giando Sestito al basso conclude un ottimo lavoro iniziato nel 2019 con il primo singolo “Loricum” ed il cui tema principale poggia su un viaggio all’interno delle sensazioni oscure che normalmente proviamo almeno una volta nella vita con lo sfondo dei mistici paesaggi della Sila (catena montuosa nel nord del territorio calabro).
La componente atmosferica risulta predominante sin dall’opener strumentale DOLOR che ha il compito di introdurre la splendida IGNIS, pezzo in cui momenti più melodici si alternano ad altri più symphonic black metal in un amalgama molto suggestivo. Ancora atmosfere inquietanti ed allo stesso tempo riflessive in FLETUS dove un entusiasmate mid tempo sorregge le clean vocals di Angelo a cui seguono sprazzi di cantato black che stupiscono per intensità, da menzionare la splendida melodia nella parte centrale della traccia.
L’ancora strumentale INFIRMUS attrae per le sue tastiere in grado di catapultare l’ascoltatore tra le mistiche atmosfere della Sila così, peraltro, come nella parte iniziale di VERNUM brano che poggia su intense clean vocals ma dove è ancora la melodia ad essere molto interessante. LORICUM racchiude tutte le caratteristiche peculiari della band in una unica traccia: il Black Metal, l’atmosfera, il cantato prima angelico e poi infernale… Da brividi. CURA è la suggestiva e strumentale outro coincidente con una linea melodica piena di speranza creata da una band che sembra sapere in che direzione andare.
Eclipsis Vitae è un lavoro da tenere molto in considerazione all’interno della scena underground estrema italiana, un disco che lascia intravedere il grande potenziale dei Cruel Life Inside e che merita di essere ascoltato con attenzione.
